MISSION STATEMENT
The parents, staff and parishioners of St. Mary Magdalene School/Parish
believe strongly in the Catholic Education Tradition. In order to carry on this
tradition and to meet the spiritual, educational, and emotional needs for our
children, the following opportunities will be provided for the students to grow
in their knowledge of faith, community service and worship.
- Knowledge of the basic doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church through the
study of scripture, developing a knowledge of the basic teachings of the
church, and by providing opportunities for students to practice the faith
- Regular opportunities to worship through liturgies, prayer services and
regular daily prayer
- Directing our students to a life centered in Christian Values and
morals
Our Catholic School believes that:
- God is the beginning and end of human existence
- Catholic education is essentially a moral endeavor
- All children have value. In Catholic education, the subject is the
student
- All students are able to learn, and it is the family’s and school’s
responsibility to facilitate this learning.
- Catholic education requires the commitment of the school and parents,
working together toward common goals on behalf of our children to be
successful.
St. Mary Magdalene teachers and staff are committed to these beliefs and
promises to do all that is within their power to instill these beliefs in each
student regardless of race, color, nationality or creed.
